This Privacy Policy explains how Learn Chinese AI (the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. "We", "us", or "our" refers to the developer/publisher of the App (Fenix Studio).

1) Information We Collect

A. Information you provide

• Google Sign-In (optional): If you sign in with Google, we may receive basic profile information such as your Google account identifier, display name, and email address (depending on what Google provides and what you consent to).
• Support communications: If you contact us, you may provide information like your email address and the content of your message.

B. Learning progress and app content

The App teaches Chinese writing lessons and tracks learning progress. We may collect and store:

• Progress data such as lessons completed, star ratings/score, practice counts, and time spent.
• Leaderboard-related data such as your display name (or a nickname), rank, stars, and time accomplishments if you participate in ranking features.

C. Usage, device, and diagnostic information

• Device & app info: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, and similar technical details.
• Diagnostics: crash logs, error reports, and performance data. This may include the time a crash occurred, what screen was open, and basic device/app state at the time.
• Identifiers: for ads and fraud prevention, third parties (e.g., AdMob) may use the device's advertising identifier (such as Google Advertising ID) and related signals.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide core features: deliver lessons, handwriting practice, daily usage limits, rewarded usage, and progress tracking.
• Account features: enable Google sign-in, sync/restore progress, and associate progress with your account.
• Leaderboard: compute ranks and display your progress metrics on ranking boards.
• Ads and purchases: show ads (including rewarded ads) and process in-app purchases.
• Improve and secure the App: analytics, debugging, preventing abuse, and maintaining reliability.
• Customer support: respond to your requests and troubleshoot issues.

3) Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:

• Service providers: with vendors that help us operate the App (for example, ad serving, billing, and authentication). These providers process data under their own terms and/or on our behalf.
• Legal and safety reasons: if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users and the App from fraud or abuse.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

The App may use third-party services provided by Google, such as Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, and Google AdMob. These services may collect information according to their own privacy policies.

4) Ads & In-App Purchases

A. AdMob (including rewarded ads)

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, you can gain additional usage beyond the daily limit. Ad providers may collect or receive certain information (such as advertising identifiers and device signals) to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.

B. In-App Purchase (one-time $2.99)

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase (IAP) that unlocks unlimited usage. Purchases are processed by the app store (Google Play). We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase status information (e.g., whether the purchase is successful) to unlock features.

5) Leaderboard & Social Features

If you use ranking/leaderboard features, the App may display your rank, stars/score, time accomplishment, and a display name (for example, your Google profile name or a nickname) to other users.

If you prefer not to appear on the leaderboard, you can avoid signing in or stop using leaderboard features (if the App provides an opt-out setting).

6) Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the App and its features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

• Progress and leaderboard data: kept while your account/participation is active, and may be removed upon request.
• Diagnostics and logs: typically retained for a limited time for troubleshooting and security.

7) Your Choices

• Google sign-in: you can use the App without signing in. You can also remove the App's access in your Google account settings.
• Ads personalization: you can control ad personalization using your device settings (e.g., reset/limit the advertising ID on Android).
• Purchases: you can manage purchases via Google Play (this App uses a one-time purchase, not a subscription).
• Access / deletion requests: depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access to or deletion of certain personal data — see the Contact section or visit our account deletion page.

8) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to data processing). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

10) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live (for example, where Google's servers or our service providers operate). We take steps to protect information as required by applicable law.

11) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the App.
