This Privacy Policy explains how Dog Identifier AI (the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. "We", "us", or "our" refers to the developer/publisher of the App (Fenix Studio).

1) Information We Collect

A. Photos and camera access

To identify a dog's breed, the App requests access to your device camera and/or photo library. The photo you capture or select is securely transmitted to our server infrastructure (Google Cloud Functions) and then forwarded to the OpenAI API solely for the purpose of breed identification. We do not store your photos on our servers. Photos are processed ephemerally — accessed only in memory for the time necessary to generate a breed result, then discarded.

B. Usage and analytics data

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. This may include:

  • Device type, operating system version, and language settings
  • In-app events (e.g., feature usage, screen views)
  • Session duration and frequency of use
  • Approximate geographic region (country/region level)

This data is collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form and is not used by us to identify you personally.

C. Advertising identifiers

Google AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID and related device information to serve advertisements, measure ad performance, and support fraud prevention. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policies.

2) How We Use Information

  • Dog breed identification: your photo is transmitted through our server infrastructure to OpenAI to analyze and return a breed result — the core function of the App.
  • App improvement: aggregated analytics data helps us understand which features are used most and where we can improve the experience.
  • Advertising: ad networks use device identifiers to display relevant ads. Revenue from ads allows us to offer the App for free.

We do not use your photos or personal data for any purpose other than those described above.

3) Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:

  • OpenAI: photos are transmitted to OpenAI for real-time breed analysis. OpenAI processes data under their own privacy policy.
  • Firebase Analytics (Google): aggregated or pseudonymous usage data is shared with Google to help us understand app performance.
  • Google AdMob: advertising identifiers and related device information are shared with Google AdMob to display ads and support fraud prevention.
  • Legal and safety reasons: if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect users and the App from fraud or abuse.

4) Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Ad providers may collect or receive certain information (such as advertising identifiers and device signals) to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).

5) Data Retention

  • Photos: not stored by Fenix Studio. They are transmitted to OpenAI for real-time processing and are subject to OpenAI's data handling and retention policies.
  • Analytics data: retained by Firebase/Google according to their default retention periods (typically 2 months for event-level data, up to 14 months for user-level data).

6) Your Choices

  • Camera/photo permissions: you can revoke camera or photo library access at any time in your device's app permissions settings. Note that the App requires this permission to function.
  • Ads personalization: opt out via your device's advertising settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization).
  • Analytics: Firebase Analytics data collection can be limited through your device's privacy controls.

7) Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information transmitted through the App. All communication with third-party APIs (OpenAI, Firebase, AdMob) occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8) Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@fenixstudio.app and we will promptly address it.

9) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of the page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
